personality.   Minerva is a fairly bright and well-meaning character. She doesn't hide much from others and at first brush it's pretty clear that she's honest almost to a fault and perhaps almost too willing to speak with candor. She has a love of technology and is always willing to speak shop with someone or offer her expertise (invited or not).Of course with that optimism does come a cost. She is often too willing to accept others for their faults and far too quick to forgive. She is also notably somewhat cowardly, a result of a few poor battlefield experiences that have left a lasting mark on the poor woman.

Background. Hailing from the nation of Werlyt, Minerva has never really known anything but the Empire. What records that have survived the fall of Garlemald indicated that she was born in the coastal town of Terncliffe. During the invasion of Werlyt the young Au Ra was separated from her parents and while this might have spelled doom for many children found in similar situations as herself, luck was on her side.Minerva found herself adopted by a Pureblood man named Calvus Tullia. She was taken in , fed, clothed, and given a new name. She proved to take to magitek quite well, showing an interest in it that a lot of her incurious peers did not seem to possess. Seeing this interest the young woman's adoptive father arranged for her to be sent to the Magitek academy and upon her graduation arranged for her to be granted citizenship as her sponsor. After graduation the woman was placed in the IIIrd Legion, serving as a combat engineer and eventually ascending to the honorific of 'kir' through merit. She and her Legion of course had the rotten luck to be stationed in Garlemald during the Final Days. Like many of her peers she was tempered and though she survived it has left its mark on her.

hooks & plots.

Ironworks
Currently Minerva is out on loan to the Ironworks in Ishgard. This is an effort by Garlemald to curry new favor with its new allies by lending them a skilled magitek technician in exchange for resources and hopefully future cooperation. Anyone who has recent ties to the Ironworks may very well be familiar with Minerva as one of the technicians working there.
IIIrd Legion
If you served in the IIIrd Legion or have ties with them, then you may well have at least some familiarity with her. Ever since she graduated the Magitek Academy she has been been assigned to one of the cohorts of the IIIrd, serving as a capable combat engineer who as generally well-liked for her ability to turn rations into something more appetizing. That and she kept the Magitek running.
Daughter of Werlyt
Minerva was born in the seaside town of Terncliff. Any of those who grew up there within the past couple decades may very well know her. This also goes for Garleans who may have been active there at the time. DM/whisper me to set this up. I am always up for these sort of connections on my characters so never feel bad about asking!
Repairs and Consultations
While she has been on loan to the Ironworks, Minerva has also taken to a bit of freelancing. She is incredibly interested in the Eorzean take on Magitek and is typically willing to consult on and repair these machines for a sum that would generally be considered a pittance in professional circles. She is especially interested in working on motorbikes and will often do such work for the fun of it if you're kind to her.
Magitek Academy
If you attended the Magitek academy and are around the same age as Minerva she may well know you! She was well known for being a good student and had a reputation for being a bit naive much to the chagrin of everyone else around her. That said, it didn't stop her from graduating with excellent marks. Just DM/whisper me if you have questions!
A Legendary Sweet Tooth
Perhaps one of the easiest avenues into getting into a discussion with Minerva is simply to offer her a confection or treat. She has a clear incitation to anything sweet and while she is something of an amateur baker herself, is always willing to pester someone for tips and tricks to improve her own amateur efforts in the kitchen.
